Haven Moore has always lived in the town of Snope City, Tennessee. But for as long as she can remember, Haven has experienced visions of a past life as a girl named Constance, whose love for a boy called Ethan ended in fiery tragedy. One day, the sight of notorious playboy Iain Morrow on television brings Haven to her knees. Haven flees to New York City to find Iain and there, she is swept up in an epic love affair that feels both deeply fated and terribly dangerous.
Is Iain her beloved Ethan? Or is he her murderer from a past life?

Haven asks the members of the powerful and mysterious Ouroboros Society to help her unlock the mysteries of reincarnation and discover the secrets hidden in her past lives, and loves, before all is lost and the cycle begins again. But what is the Ouroboros Society? And how can Haven know whom to trust? Haven is naive and you see that quite a bit in this novel. I loved the best friend character — Beau. Although, that would have changed the story drastically most likely.
The Eternal Ones: Book review
The love interest — definitely a little suspicious of him and how easily Haven fell into his arms. He was the teen idol type figure and you never see those types settling down completely. It was easy to like Haven and Beau, which I think really made the story move along. The characters are definitely what make the book.

OHH Love this, character driven is always good…Sounds like a great book, I have not read anything or not much on reincarnation so I am looking forward to! I really hope they have this at BEA. I am a huge fan of large, character driven books. Plus, I love the premise as you describe it. Great review! Although the theme of chivalric love and a single soul mate for eternity may cause some to roll their eyes, the way in which Miller utilizes mystery, romance, satire, and fantasy offers something for everyone. The open ending invites reader imagination -- and possible sequels. Families can talk about how this book is being marketed.

Have you seen any other creative campaigns for books that use social networking, mobile, or any other modern method to connect to young readers? For parents and teachers who want to delve more into the plot: How is Hollywood portrayed in this book?
Do Haven and Beau rely too much on gossip magazines and television shows for factual information? Is their interest in gossip media an accurate depiction of teens today?
